Our Story

4th Anniversary in JapanFranky and Annis have met each other in Arlington Chinese Church after Annis's undergraduate graduation in May 2000 and moved to Dallas for her career. Initially, they didn't get along very well even though they were both serving together in the Cantonese Career Fellowship.

But in the Fall of 2003, Franky and his sister got involved into a car accident. While his sister had to stay in the hospital for a few days, Annis graciously offered her time and effort to help her. Since then, their views of each other did a 180 degrees turn. Soon after the incident, their romantic relationship was initiated with a first date at the Baby Dow Restaurant of Dallas on October 25, 2003.

After dating for two years, another road block had appeared in their relationship when Annis had to move back to Hong Kong due to her job loss and homesickness in October 2005. Although this sudden change turned their relationship into a long-distance relationship, they still put their faith in God and let Him lead their future together.

A year went by... Franky and Annis finally set a meeting in Japan to celebrate their 3rd year dating anniversary. After being apart for such a long time, the moment they saw each other at the Narita Airport was very touching and unforgettable.

Finally, on October 25, 2006 - it was the last evening of their 3rd anniversary trip - Franky suddenly proposed to Annis in front of the Rainbow Bridge at Odaiba, Japan. Such a memorable moment has set another milestone in their life-long journey together.
